"The Pfand" in Germany part 2

Finally. Do you remember the plastic bottles we had? waiting to be given back? I referred to them in the post "The Pfand" in Germany some days ago. I mentioned I was going to post later about the machine where you give back the plastic bottles, the cans, and the glasses of beer, etc.

Here it is. Above you can see in the first photo the hole where you, one by one, place the objects you want to give back. Once inside, there is a machine looking for the bar code, to read how much Pfand each bottle or can has.

In the second photo, sorry is a bit blurry, you can see how many bottles or glasses you have put into the machine and how much money you are getting back for each one. In the photo you can see, we gave back 10, and we had 2 euro and ten cents.

Once you are finish, you press the green button you see in the first photo. And you get a printed receipt, a "Gutschein" (voucher) for the amount stated. Later you can either cash it in at the tills of the supermarket where you are or you can use in the next occasion you go shopping (in the same shop of course) and you get a reduction for the amount in the Gutschein.

Ganz einfach! Very easy!
